Just in time for Valentine’s Day!
Here is a fun little tutorial on how to make this Adorable Printable Valentines Project from Digital Bakeshop. Do your kids need a bunch of little Valentine’s Cards for all their classmates on that special day? Or maybe you want to create a card for that special someone in your own life! Here’s a fun fruity twist if you’re tired of all that red!!
Start out by downloading the Perfect Pear Clipart Set which is absolutely free at Mygrafico!
Once you have downloaded it, bring it into your favorite image editing program such as Photoshop. There are other programs that would work, so just use your favorite.
Begin by opening a new project and set the image size for 8 1/2 by 11 inches. Use your guides to divide the page into 9 sections which are 2 1/2 wide by 3 1/2 high.
Now you are ready to insert the background paper of your choice. I used Digital Bakeshop’s Boy Monkeys Paper Set for this, and picked the yellow polka-dot paper from the set. The opacity (transparency) was set for about 45% so the text and images really ‘pop’ when it’s done. I also added a white fill layer behind this background. The Boy Monkeys Paper Set is already in 8 1/2 by 11 inch format, but I still minimize it to fit just one of the 9 spaces.

You can also use some other background paper. We have a huge inventory of beautiful Digital Papers here at Mygrafico!
TIP: You could copy this first layer 8 more times. But if you really want to save time, build one whole card first, link or group the layers, and then copy the whole card 8 more times! So for now, focus on building the 1 card. You can enlarge your screen so it is easier to work with.
Next I added the Pears onto the card, resizing them to fit the space.
I used the Left Hook font for the lettering. It can be purchased online here:
***(Clicking on the Font will take you to a new page).
Feel free to use one of your own favorite fonts!
It can get a little time consuming, but the effect of using a different color for each letter is so charming and playful that it is worth the effort! Try to use colors which match the clipart you are using.
To finish it off, I added a little heart from the full Perfect Pairs Digital Clipart set which can be purchased here:
Feel free to insert a different heart from your favorite set.
Now that the card is finished, I simply group the layers and duplicate them 8 times.
And voilà!
Click on the Valentine below and your FREE download will begin!
I hope you enjoyed following along with this tutorial as we created this Adorable printable valentines project!
Send us your photos if you make some fun project like this using the Clipart sets you have purchased from Mygrafico!
Have a Happy Valentine’s Day.
